Red Cross Lifeguard Prerequisites: -15 years of age (on the last day of the course) -Current Standard First Aid with CPR level C or equivalent -Red Cross Assistant Lifeguard (current or expired) Completion Criteria: -attend and participate in 100% of the course -course is continuously evaluated -successfully complete the final “scenario-based” practical exam -demonstrate competency in all required skills and activities -adhere to the CRC Lifeguard Code of Conduct -pass a knowledge evaluation with a minimum mark of 75% -complete the Pool Lifeguard observation assignment Certification: -2 years effective at the end of the course date -Upon successful completion of the course, and submission of the roster by the Training Partner, the participant will be issued a certification that is accessed when they log into myrc.redcross.ca>My Profile. The participant can download the completed certification card.
